Ms. Jiseung Kim

[Biography]
Ms. Jiseung Kim is a student at Wonkwang University, majoring in Korean Pharmacy at the College of Pharmacy. As an aspiring global public health expert with a strong interest in the World Health Organization, she is actively broadening her scope through international engagements.
In July 2025, she participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) as the delegate of Israel in an English-speaking committee. The agenda, “International Cooperation for the Responsible Use of AI in the Military Domain,” required deep insight and strategic thinking. Ms. Kim exemplified how Israel could act constructively in the international community, presenting fundamental and essential resolutions rather than superficial solutions. She guided the debate toward core, constructive discussions by addressing theoretical pitfalls and misdirections, ultimately earning an award at the General Assembly.
Prior to the MUN, she served as a translator during an official lecture and meeting with a Swedish delegate, in collaboration with the President of Wonkwang University and other honored guests. She facilitated the smooth flow of communication, accurately conveying the remarks of each participant, and was later recognized for her competency by the International Affairs Division. She also provided simultaneous interpretation during the delegate's lecture for students.
Currently, Ms. Kim is preparing to enter graduate school to major in epidemiology, public health, and policy, aiming to contribute to sustainable health governance and global well-being.
